Super Easy Mexican Tostadas

"One word for this dish - EASY!! Serve with Spanish rice. For quick rice use Rice a roni or Knorr brand"

Ingredients:

  • 12 Pre-made Tostada Shells
  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 1 packet of Taco Seasoning
  • (1) 15oz can of re-fried beans - I like the SPICY kind!
  • 1 cup of lettuce (diced)
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese (chedder or Mexican blend)
  • 1 Tomato

OPTIONAL TOPPINGS:

  • 1/2 onion (diced)
  • sour cream
  • hot sauce (my husband uses tapatio)

Directions:

  1. Brown the ground beef, drain fat, Add the taco seasoning & following the directions on the back of the packet.
  2. Cook the beans (follow the recipe on the can)
  3. During the cooking of the ground beef, I dice up all the toppings
  4. Once all the hot ingredients are done, take a shell, spread a layer of beans, add a layer of ground beef taco meat and add all the toppings in the order you wish.
